The Skeleton

The skeleton was found when the museum floor was re-laid in 1972. It has been dated by archaeologists to the 14th century and may have been a member of the Hospitallers community or a Dominican Friar from the adjacent, now demolished, Priory. Certain features of the skeleton suggest that it might be that of a woman.
